Gaelscoil ilchreidmheach í Gaelscoil na Giúise a chuireann ard chaighdeán oideachas ar fáil tré Ghaeilge.
Gaelscoil na Giúise is a multi denominational primary school providing a high standard of education through Irish.
We moved into our new building in August 2018 and are excited about the future of the school.
Dea scéal faighte. Beidh an scoil oscailte amárach. Tá an fadhb leis an uisce deisithe.
Ó a 6-7 tráthóna tá fáilte roimh tuismitheoirí ón dá scoil teacht le sluasaid chun sneachta a bhogadh.
I láthair na huaire is ar cos amháin go mbeifear in ann teacht isteach ar láthair na scoile maidin amárach. Príomh geata na scoile, an geata atá ar Céide Baile Uí Chuillinn an geata a bheidh ar oscailt. Arís, is ar cos amháin go mbeidh sibh in ann teacht isteacht chuig láthair na scoile. Má thagann aon aistriú ar an scéal seo cuirfidh mé scéal chugaibh.
Go raibh maith agaibh leo siúd atá chun teacht ag cabhrú anocht agus mo bhuíochas libh as a bheith chomh foighneach.
Good news. The school can reopen tomorrow, 7th March 2018. The issue with the water has been fixed.
From 6pm -7pm this evening parents from both schools are invited to come with a shovel to help remove any remaining snow.
For the time being, pedestrian access only will be in operation from the Ballycullen Drive. I will update you if this changes in the meantime.
Thank you to all who are coming to help this evening and for your patience.
Feicfidh mé ar maidin sibh,
De bharr an sneachta agus Blea Cliath a bheith istigh sa cheanntar atá 'Rabhadh Dearg'. Tá treoir tugtha ag an Roinn Oidechas go mbeidh ar scoileanna atá i limistéar an 'rabhadh dearg' fanacht dúnta Déardaoin agus Dé hAoine. Mar thoradh ar seo beidh an scoil dúnta Déardaoin an 1 Márta agus Aoine 2 Márta.
Bhíomar le bheith gnóthach sa scoil an tseachtain seo ag tabhairt faoi thurgnaimh mar chuid do sheachtain innealtóireachta. B'fhéidir go bhféadfadh na páistí leanúint leis ag a baile agus iarracht an fear sneachta is airde a thógaint, nó droichead a thógaint ag úsáid sneachta agus oighear b'fhéidir feiscint teacht anuas don gcnoc níos tapúla agus sábhálta? Ar mhaithe oideachas na páistí gan amhras, aoibheann beatha an scoláire a deirtear.
Beidh lá inseirbhíse ag na múinteoirí Dé Luain 5 Márta 2018 mar a uúradh sa Nuachtlitir deirneach. Feicfimid na páistí Dé Máirt an 6ú lá ag 08:55.
As I am sure most of you know Dublin has been put in a 'Status Red'. The Department of Education has advised all school in status red areas to close schools on Thursday 1st of March and Friday 2nd of March. As a rersult of this the school is closed Thursday the 1st of March and Friday the 2nd of March.
As we were in the midst of celebrating Engineering Week perhaps it could be continued at home in the form of building a tall snowman, construct a bridge using snow and ice and figure out away to come down quickly and safely from the slope...all in the name of education of course! Enjoy the weather while it lasts.
As per last weeks newsletter the teachers have an Inservice Day on Monday the 5th of March. We will see the children Tuesday the 6ht of March at 08:55.
Tabhairigí aire daoibh féin,

Ní bheidh Gaelscoil na Giúise ar oscailt amárach Máirt 17 Deireadh Fómhair de bharr treorach ón Roinn Oideachais agus Scileanna maidir le Storm Ophelia.
Gaelscoil na Giúise will be closed tomorrow Tuesday 17th October as directed by the Department of Education and Skills.
Tabhairigí aire daoibh féin agus athosclóidh an scoil Dé Céadaoin 18ú mura ndeireann an Roinn a mhalairt linn.
We will reopen on Wednesday October 18th unless otherwise directed by the Department. Take care!
Thíos ná ráiteas ón Roinn Oideachais agus Scileanna.
Below is the official statement from the Department of Education and Skills.
Dept of Education statement:
Following careful consideration by the National Emergency Coordination Group, the Department of Education and Skills, has decided that all schools will remain closed tomorrow. This decision was primarily taken in the interests of child safety and on the basis of information available in what is a developing situation. While it is recognised that some schools may not be as badly impacted as others, the information available at this time indicates that over 350,000 businesses and homes are already without power, and severe winds continue to cause damage across the country as the storm progresses. Many regional and local roads are closed due to fallen trees.
It is also the case that school authorities will in very many cases not have had an opportunity to check their buildings and confirm they are safe, have power and water, and that routes to the school are safely open.
It is recognised that the decision to close schools will have a major impact on families and on the workforce. However, this decision has been taken in the interests of safety for children and to provide clarity for everyone concerned.
