Irish classes for parents will start again Tuesday the 5th of March at 19:30 and will run for 5 weeks until Tuesday the 2nd of April. The course of 5 weeks will cost 35 euro. Third and fourth class had a wonderful day at the Young Scientist Exhibition last Friday. They did extremely well presenting their project. We are all very proud of them. Gaelscoil na Giúise Abú. The school can reopen tomorrow, 7th March 2018. The issue with the water has been fixed. From 6pm -7pm this evening parents from both schools are invited to come with a shovel to help remove any remaining snow. For the time being, pedestrian access only will be in operation from the Ballycullen Drive. I will update you if this changes in the meantime. The Department of Education has advised all school in status red areas to close schools on Thursday 1st of March and Friday 2nd of March. As a rersult of this the school is closed Thursday the 1st of March and Friday the 2nd of March. As we were in the midst of celebrating Engineering Week perhaps it could be continued at home in the form of building a tall snowman, construct a bridge using snow and ice and figure out away to come down quickly and safely from the slope...all in the name of education of course! Enjoy the weather while it lasts. As per last weeks newsletter the teachers have an Inservice Day on Monday the 5th of March. We will see the children Tuesday the 6ht of March at 08:55. Due to this the school will be closed today the 28th Februaury in the interest of safety. Further information will be sent later today regarding tomorrow and Friday. Mind yourselves.
